We built something. It's almost ready.
For a while now (longer than we’ll admit publicly) we’ve been building something. Not a piece of content or another newsletter. Something that, if we’ve done it right, is going to change the way coaches, scouts, and agents do their jobs when it comes to African basketball talent.
We won’t walk you through everything today; we want to show you, not just tell you. And that moment is almost here.
What we will say in the meantime? We built this because the gap was too obvious to ignore. Every scout we’ve ever talked to who works internationally knows the feeling. You hear about a player, you try to track down footage, you look for stats, you try to find contact information. You spend days, and sometimes weeks building something that should already exist. And sometimes, by the time you find everything you need, the player is already gone.
That’s the gap. And we built something to close it.
If you’ve been reading Diaspora Drop for any amount of time, you know we’re serious about this space. We go beyond just talking about African basketball because we’ve experienced it, and we live it everyday. This platform is an extension of that. It’s been built with the same obsession, the same access, and the same mission.
We’re going live later this month.
Before we announce it publicly, we want to make sure the people who’ve been here since the beginning (that’s you) hear about it first. If you want to be among the first to get access, just reply to this email with your name and what you do in basketball. We’ll make sure you’re on the early-access list.
We can’t wait for you to see what we have in store.
